Sunny paths and lofty heights
Mount Plose, towering above Bressanone, is the perfect destination for a great day out with the whole family. From there, the view of the South Tyrolean mountains is truly unique. Take a leisurely walk through the Funes or Villandro Alpine pastures and taste authentic Alpine cheese. Conquer one of the peaks of the Isarco valley, climb the legendary rock faces of the Dolomites, or pedal your way up and down the mountains on a mountain bike. If you are in the mood for more “urban” experiences, you can always take a refreshing dip in the Aquarena outdoor pools, or take a sightseeing tour around the historical centre of Bressanone and discover its many cultural treasures.

The Bressanone area enjoys a spectacular natural landscape… and a cultural landscape to match! The Plose hiking paradise, the Isarco valley Alpine pastures and the nearby UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites offer something for every taste, from family-friendly Alpine hikes, to via ferratas and challenging summit tours. If an adrenalin kick is what you are after, you can try a ride on the Plose mountain cart or hire a bike and challenge yourself on one of the downhill trails at the Brixen Bike Park. Those who are more relaxation-oriented can while the day away in the pools at the Acquarena pool park, while culture vultures can get their money’s worth visiting Bressanone’s many sights, including the Novacella Abbey.
